The refurbishment of the Berg mineral baths focuses on retaining the original character of the 1950s bathing landscape. The L-shaped building structure and its north and east wings will remain but brought up to date structurally and technically. The spa will also continue to incorporate the various functional areas of sauna, indoor and outdoor pool with a restaurant area in the future. The foyer forms the central point of intersection at the hub of the axes of the building. The building will be stripped back to its shell during the course of its refurbishment. The measures comprise all surfaces, fixtures and technical equipment. The façades will be divided into closed, half-open and open areas and the main entrance relocated in keeping with the original look of the building. Selected materials and a harmonious colour scheme lend a pleasant atmosphere to the interior, ensuring that the time guests spend in the spa is of the highest quality.
