With the opening of the outdoor pool area, Hirschbachbad Aalen kicks off the new outdoor swimming season – and can now be enjoyed as a complete facility. Following the grand opening of the indoor pool area on November 28, 2025, this marks the next major step for the new combined pool facility in the Hirschbach Valley.

The outdoor pool area complements the sports, leisure, family, and sauna areas with an open-air swimming landscape set amidst greenery. Beautifully nestled into the hillside, the architecture blends with the site’s topography: terraced levels, landscaped transitions, and the interplay of indoor and outdoor spaces allow the pool to emerge gently from the landscape.

In this way, the new Hirschbachbad builds on the Hirschbachtal’s more than 130-year-old bathing tradition – and translates it into contemporary architecture for sports, recreation, and social interaction. Together with the City of Aalen and Stadtwerke Aalen, we are delighted about the full opening of this special swimming facility project.
