The existing outdoor sauna is one of the most popular attractions at the Caracalla Spa. However, its great appeal means bottlenecks for visitors. An additional capacity of approximately 50 to 60 people is therefore to be created in the form of a Finnish sauna. The integration of the new sauna into the historic, protected surroundings and an open amenity were required. The new panoramic sauna blends in naturally with the tree-covered hillside. The forest theme is continued architecturally in the structure of the roof and facade. The layout of the sauna opens out towards the valley, offering panoramic views across the Baden-Baden valley, while the two stepped sun decks bear reference to the hillside.
