The mining of copper in Eisleben ended in 1966. Since 1968 tubular steel furniture has been produced here. The challenge was to create a modern manufacturing plant with an administrative and a display area while keeping in mind the value of the historic industrial buildings. The entrance area covers two storeys with a vestibule leading onto the reception and administrative offices on the upper floor. Glass partition walls in the offices make for a light, transparent atmosphere. A generously glazed display area located opposite opens also onto the hall, both areas being accessible via a gallery.
