With their swimming pool buildings, 4a Architekten is one of those offices that primarily create architecture for people – as Günter Behnisch once put it. Their swimming pool constructions are characterised by a special feel-good atmosphere. But how does this come about, what prerequisites does architecture have to create for it? These questions form the central theme of the exhibition at the Aedes Architekturforum Berlin.

However, the exhibition is not intended to be a retrospective or a retrospective by 4a architects, but shows the diversity of today's pool construction: from school pools to thermal baths, from sports pools to wellness facilities. On the basis of twelve selected bathrooms, the range is examined in detail with models. To this end, the architects explain in short video statements what drives them when designing.
