From a total of 111 submissions, 25 objects were honored as all-around successful solutions to the respective building task in the Ortenaukreis Exemplary Building Competition - including the Freizeitbad Stegermatt in Offenburg. Under the chair of Monika Fritz, architect, Rottenburg, national executive committee of the architectural association Baden-Wuerttemberg, the jury came to the following reason: The new leisure pool is a successful example of how exciting architecture can be carefully integrated into the surrounding landscape: The old tree population was excellently conserved in the new planning of the bath. The building offers a wide variety of sports and adventure worlds and meets the diverse needs of its visitors all year round. The clearly legible structure of the three buildings is functional, and reflects the division into recreational sports and wellness.
