The new Hirschbachbad Aalen will be officially opened on November 28, 2025. Representatives from politics and administration, project participants, schools, and associations are invited to join the City of Aalen and the Stadtwerke to celebrate its completion. In addition to welcome speeches, guided tours will be offered, during which employees of Stadtwerke and 4a project architects will provide insights into the planning, technology, and use of the building.

The pool complex includes a sports area with a competition-standard pool, a family and leisure area, a sauna area, and an outdoor pool area in front. A defining feature of the design is its integration into the topography of the Hirschbach Valley. In order to preserve the fresh air corridor and avoid overbuilding the Hirschbach Valley, the building was positioned on a slope. The architecture develops in terraces from the terrain and gently interlocks with the landscape via green levels. With its functional diversity and sensitive landscape-oriented architecture, the Hirschbachbad sets a new trend for contemporary swimming pool construction in the region.
