The Emser Thermenhotel by 4a Architekten was shortlisted for the award Callwey Verlag “The Most Beautiful Restaurants, Hotels & Bars”. This means the project is nominated for an award and will be featured in detail in the accompanying publication. The award honors outstanding interior design concepts in the restaurant and hotel industrie — spaces that combine design, function, and hospitality into a harmonious overall concept. The award ceremony is scheduled for October 2027.

The Emser Thermenhotel is located directly on the banks of the Lahn River and complements the neighboring Emser Therme, which was also designed by 4a Architekten. A corridor connects the 4-star hotel directly to the spa and sauna area. The architecture and interior design draw inspiration from the unique riverside location, transforming the hotel into an atmospheric retreat. Calm colors, warm materials, nuanced lighting, and carefully designed transitions characterize the hotel—from the moment guests arrive in the lobby, through the restaurant and common areas, to the guest rooms.
